THE CHAMPIONS UNIVERSE
The Champions Universe is the official setting that Hero Games publishes for Champions. You don't have to use it to play Champions (after all, many gamers prefer to create their own settings), but it helps us organize our published Champions books into a coherent whole and makes it easier for gamers to use them however they prefer.
Q: Which books describe the Champions Universe?

Of these, what most fans would consider the "core" books for the Champions Universe include Champions Universe, Champions Universe: News Of The World, Conquerors, Killers, And Crooks, Millennium City, and Vibora Bay. Besides the listed books, you can also find bits and pieces of Champions Universe-related materials in many of our other books, such as the Ultimate series and The UNTIL Superpowers Database.
Q: What's the Dark Champions Universe, and how does it differ from the Champions Universe?
A: The "Dark Champions Universe" is related to the Champions Universe in the sense that it's referred to as part of the same setting for ease of play - the DCU's main setting, Hudson City, is briefly mentioned in Champions Universe books. But other than that, we keep the two distinct. Champions Universe characters aren't mentioned in Dark Champions Universe books, and vice-versa.
