What would your opinion be on a Duplicator with the advantage

Ranged duplication(+1/2)

In Fred there is already the option for ranged recombination same cost.

What would it do? When you use Duplication, your duplicates can appear a distance away instead of right next to you? Is that the idea?

Sounds okay to me. With suitable pluses for extended range, it would mean you could do bilocation without the duplicate appearing right next to you and taking an extra phase to teleport to where you want it. That accords well with descriptions of the phenomenon in folklore.

Mr. Mattingly discussed this in one of his haymaker articles. Check it out:

And you thought he was just another pretty face...

I loved those articles. I secretly wish you get fired, kidnapped by crazed turks who drug you and then brainwash you to do more, then let you go. Then, with all your new free time, that's all you do.

I mean that in the most positive possible way, of course. :D

I have continued to write for Haymaker! (http://www.haymaker.org) , in fact, but unfortunately, most of my recent stuff is copyrighted, and so can't legally be posted on teh web. The Scooby Gang, Looney Tunes, d20 conversion, etc. A lot of fun, though! :)

Really? I thought Haymaker died, like, 2 years ago... they certainly give no clues to breathing on their site.

It changed hands. Now Lisa "Kandris Seal" Hartjes is running things. There's a new issue due out in about two weeks, in fact.
