The Skills FAQ contains this statement:
A 3-point CSL with three Maneuvers would apply to any use of those Maneuvers (armed or unarmed).

Does that mean a CSL with say Strike, Block and Grab would apply to ANY strike? This would include a punch, a sword slash, throwing a shuriken, shooting a bow and firing a gun. And the same would apply to 2-pnt CSLs with 'Strikes'?

If a character buys 2-point CSLs with Strike, he must define the type of strike — Punch, Sword Slash, or whatever. The potential abuse inherent in the situation is obvious if the GM allows otherwise. The same applies to a 3-point CSL bought to apply to Strike and two other Maneuvers.

At the GM’s option, if a character buy a 3-point CSL solely for Strike, he could apply it to increase OCV with either HTH Strikes or Ranged Strikes; he’s got to pick one or the other when he buys the Level. Since this may be extremely similar to 5-point CSLs for HTH Combat or Ranged Combat, the GM may require characters to only buy 5-point CSLs instead.
