Hi Steve,

When a HKA is pushed, does that count as 'base' damage for the purpose of whether str can be added?

For example, a 40 str character with 2D6 HKA normally does 4D6 with str. Does it increase to 5D6+1 after pushing the HKA?

It counts as base damage. However, I suspect most GMs would want to hear a darn good reason why a character should be allowed to Push his HKA instead of his STR; I, for one, have a hard time envisioning characters suddenly making their claws or knives become “bigger” or “sharper.” ;)
