My name is Joe Linehan and last year I took point on organizing the Hero Games for Origins and Gen Con. I had a ton of help and in general had a really good time so I am doing it again this year.
Last year, we learned a lot and also established a bit of reputation as very reliable and prolific judges. We're very hopeful that we will have our own room at Origins which opens up all sorts of possibilities. What I'm looking for right now is three things --- 1) People interested in getting on a mailing list to discuss plans 2) People interested in volunteering to write an official tournament game 3) People interested in judging. If any of those appeal to you please email me.
The deadline for submitting Champions events to make the pre-reg book is January 10, so we do need to get cracking on things. I think last year players, judges, and writers all had a lot of fun and Hero was extremely appreciative of all that was done for them.

I will be able to judge Gen-Con not Origins. Please e-mail me more details and I will help.
PS: I would like to volunteer for Thursday at 8AM. This should be your hardest to fill spot.

Alrighty gang, time to step up if you want to help out Hero by running a game at Origins. Joe is collecting all of the games to be run in the exclusive Hero Room, a new feature this year where we're trying to get all or at least most of our games to be run in a single dedicated room where we can also set up a demo table, library o'Hero stuff and have regular appearances by Hero staff, freelancers and other guests. If you're planning to go to the show , now's your chance to participate in the first of what we think will become a very cool tradition. Drop me a line in the next few days at darren@herogames.com for more info or to sign on! Thanks!

Herophiles,

This is great news. I've been running Con games since 1989, but last year was my first Origins and I loved it. The problem is, you get 30 words to describe your event and it's hard for people to figure out if it's going to be a fun game or not from 30 words. Having all this stuff in one room will get players gravitating towards your tables and all the Hero players will have no problem finding Hero Games stuff. It's going to be great for us Hero GMs.

Poor Keneton!

I Mechanon have terminated this woeful carbon based unit. Mechana, my servant was defeated last year at Origins. This was most unfortunate. It will also not happen again. Any heroes who dare show themselves at origins will be terminated! I will be watching.

In the words of my A.I. predecessor. . .

"Shall we play a game?"

My bad, I did not look on the boards until today. I would be more than happy to run a Star Hero Adventure, I have a couple to choose from. I will also be assisting Keneton with some GM Duties I believe. Please let me know if you all think I should run a SH event. Thanks.

Hey Brian,

It's actually too late for anymore Origins events---the deadline for us was today. However, I do know we'll have some demos that we could use some help getting covered. We'll be discussing Gen Con soon and some Star Hero would be great.

I am interested judging Champions at GenCon. If you need judges please let me know.

I also wrote an adventure which can be used. The adventure is being run at MegaCon here in Orlando, but I would have no problem donating it to be run at Megacon!

Feel free to email me for more information.
