View Full Version : Core Book Revisions?

I was just wondering what the plans were for the core book in the future. Is there any plans for inserting minor clarifications like those that can be found in the rules questions FAQ? The big black book is a wonder of editing, and I am appreciative.

Undoubtedly we'll do a "5E Revised" eventually... but no precise plans as yet. At the earliest, it'd have to be 2005, since the 2004 schedule is kinda full. ;)

Please? Yeah, that would be dumb. Only WotC and Microsoft are that bad at numbering revisions.
Now, if DOJ called it Revision I Core, then we could refer to the new tome as FREdRIC. <img src="http://www.telisphere.com/~davidl/grfx/hlmtsmly.gif">

Officially it would be the HERO System Almanac, but we could nickname it the Book of Appendices and Revisions Needed Every Year (BARNEY). :p
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to take cover in the nearest Air Raid Shelter.... :D

Oh, c'mon! It HAS to be 5.5. Then we can call it 5 by 5.
If I have to explain that to you, you don't know Steve very well

Oh, I bow to you, Keeper of Inside Jokes and Buddy of Steve. Will you please sign my yearbook, oh please!
Scene at game convention:
"Hey who's that guy over there with Steve Long?"
"Oh that stud? He's Albert. He's real close with Steve."
"Really!?! Hey Albert. Oh Albert."
Throws himself at feet of Keeper of Inside Jokes.

Wow, I must've really hurt your ego in some manner... Sorry about that, next time I'll use small words and spell everything out for you...
1) Steve's known to like Eliza Dushku
2) She's played Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3) Faith is know to say "five by five'
4) That was the joke I was getting across
And yes, Steve is a friend so nyah, nyah, nyah. Get uptight over nothing will ya.
Jeez -- people sure have a lot of guts when they post under a handle.

I'm sorry, you lost me on the word "joke." Isn't that something that's supposed to be funny?

"5E Revised" in 2005?
Sounds good to me. By then, given this crowd, it'll be the best edited book in print...:)

If I'd gotten here before Evil Thoughts rained on the parade, I could have said "I have Faith Steve will rise about his baser urges for the sake of HEROdom everywhere."
Darn. Another opportunity missed while I was off in Real Life.
