I haven't been able to track down anything on this in FREd, but I (accidentally) noticed that it is possible in Hero Designer to purchase Damage Resistance higher than your PD or ED.
This may be legal. But. The rPD & rED tags give the resistant defense value as the (higher) Damage Resistance value, not the (lower) PD or ED value. This seems wrong?

Dan can correct me if I'm wrong, but this may need to be one of those things that the GM/players need to enforce. HD may need to allow Damage Resistance to be bought higher than the "real" PD and ED, in order to allow people to do things like buying Damage Resistance on the PD and ED they get from Density Increase, etc.

I'm sure a moment's more thought would have told me that.
It still seems that the rPD & rED tags should report the lower of the resistant or normal defense, right? Or am I just having a really slow day today?

But it comes up infrequently enough that it may fall under the "more hassle to fix than it's worth" department. People usually aren't going to buy more Damage Resistance than they actually have PD and ED... why would they want to waste the points? :)
