Hero Designer V.2 Availability

I would like to purchase the Hero Designer V.2 cd from my FLGS, but he says his distributor(Alliance) doesn't have it. I would really like to support my guy here, but I want the software to
help with an upcoming Champions game. Do you know why?

I'm also interested in buying the software, but it's been listed as "Out of Stock" at FRPGames (my preferred online store) for quite some time now. Now, I suppose I could just order it from HERO's own online store (along with Shades of Black, but the price is better at FRPGames and I'd like to support HERO's ranking over there as much as I can (to raise visibility and all that, you know).... :)

Send email to <a href="http://www.usacomicbooks.com/champions.html">USA Collectables and Cards</a> and see if they can get it for you. They normally carry HERO, but don't seem to have Designer. However, they can get most things they don't carry as special orders.

I'm assuming here that there's some reason you don't want to download the installer and just burn yourself a CD.

I'm not sure what we can do about your situation, Scooby. Alliance to our knowledge isn't out of HDv2's, and if they are they haven't told us or ordered any more (I'd think if they ran out they'd promptly call us for more.) If your FLGS is having trouble getting it from Alliance, there are twenty other distributors they can buy it from, or they can buy it from us directly.

I have no idea why your FLGS doesn't have the product if they want it. If they need help getting it, or need the name of a distributor in their area, please have them contact me directly. If they still won't or can't get it for you, you can buy it in our e-store. dw

Alliance's online catelog lists HD v2 as "Not yet available". I would hate to think that retailers are not ordering because Alliance is leading them to believe that it's not available.

Thank you very much for the information. I knew you guys would come through for me.
Do you think some distributors might be waiting until their stock of Hero Designer V1 is gone?
I've been lurking on these boards since before FRED came out and I have been very impressed with the way Hero Interacts with its' customers.
I will pass this on to my FLGS.
