Anyone know if any progress has been made towards porting HD for the Mac? Did Apple ever do a general release for the Java 1.4.1 engine?

Not yet. Once Apple gets off of their collective duffs and produces a final version of Java 1.4.x I'll start testing and get a Mac version released, but not until then.

It looks like apple is getting closer to release. There is a new version on the developer site and it seems fairly complete. I would rather have Apple take longer and get it right, than release it quicker and it have bugs.

Dan, I've already bought the PC version of HD. Will you offer the Mac version at a discount to those who have both Macs and PCs? (My brother is giving me his old Mac, which he doesn't need anymore now that he got a new G4 dual processor.) :D

I'm not the one selling HD....You'll need to talk to Ben, Steve, et. al. about that one.
I just write the thing ;)

If you have the Linux or Solaris version. It runs nicly on OS X once you install JDK 1.4.1 build 10+ You can get the JDK from apple's developer site. Then just tar up your Unix HD directory and expand it in you OS X $HOME or where you want it.
I've been using it like this for about a week now and running HD a lot. Converting all my old stuff to 5e (bored at work). No problems so far.
