I found the Deathstroke module for three bucks at Half Price Books yesterday. No big deal, I just thought it was cool cause I didn't start playing Champions way back when and so don't have alot of the old stuff. Anybody have war stories from this one?

If you mean, based on the adventure in the module, sure. :) It was a fun short-run adventure - not as sophisticated as what you usually find nowadays, but that may be part of its charm. Deathsinger's megalomania and Dr. Draconis's rantings were fun to play up.

More importantly, the Deathstroke organization became a significant fixture in my campaign. I expanded the hints in the adventure of the group being behind a movement to have the country governed by "crooks who are honest about it," instead of the political establishment who pretend to honesty. (Not necessarily my personal opinion.) ;) Deathstroke became a significant force in the American political fringe, and a threat to the United States government. The characters that were added to the group in the first edition of Champions Universe - the mentalist Scatterbrain and her publicist father - ended up fitting this m.o. quite well.

I also continued to use Dr. Draconis, making him a member of the Serpentine Circle, the leadership of the 4E version of COIL, and primary weapon designer for the organization. It just seemed to me that Draconis's unhealthy obsession with reptilians would naturally draw him into this group.

Which Half Price Books? Did they have any of the other older books? I recently got back into the game and have been trying to pick up all the old books that I loved so much (the classic Enemies and such) and to find all the books that I never had (the newer Enemies, Strike Force, etc).

As I've metioned in other threads, Deathstroke and the Conquorers are the two teams I would most like to see updated to 5th ed. If you like Deathstroke I believe there are some updated stats in the old 4th ed Champions Universe sourcebook, not to be confused with the latest CU available now.

Considering I rarely, if ever, use a prefab character as written anyway, maybe this shouldn't bug me as much as it does, but Terror Inc., Deathstroke AND the Conquerors? Who's left?

Thok and Plasmoid. I've never used them. Ooh, and the Fox of Crime...and Buffalo....and that devil woman from Enemies III. And the Raiders...and Sparkler.

Which Half Price Books? I don't like to give away secrets, but just this once.;) The one at Northwest Highway and 75. they didn't have anything else, but if they did I would have gotten it. There's another one that has a few Hero books I'm not particularly interested in, like Champions New Millenium and Western Hero, but I'll be damned if I can remember which one. If I do I'll gladly let you know.
