View Full Version : The WG with Bugs and Tags at it again...

Ok, first off the bugs:
1) The compound_power_separator isn't being taken during export. It seems to only want to put <b>plus</b> there instead. The problem is that HTML doesn't cut it for an RTF export. Besides the fact it won't take other words or anything either.
2) Sense Affected As More Than One Sense - When you try to edit the Display field it will only take one key stroke and then jump to the next field.
3) You can't increase Active Sonar's Telescopic modifier. It is set at +1 and non-editable because it is built-in.
4) Partial Coverage for bases is not available. I can use sectional defenses, but it doesn't display correctly even after editing the fields. I used a custom modifier instead.
5) I can't add Self Only to RKA to create a self-destruct power. (See pg. 96 of UNTIL: DoF)
Now the WG:
1) Life Support - I don't know how to get it to show Safe Environments: Intense Cold, Low Pressure/Vacuum. (WG pg 16)
2) END of 0 should be displayed if it is 0. (WG pg. 29 bottom right corner) Hmm... I bet I could do that if I had an IF_NO_END tag, however...
2) When charges are bought for a power they should display in place of the END in square brackets. (WG pgs. 29-30)

Bugs:
1) Nope. Works fine. The problem is likely in your use of the tag.
2) Because the dialog is waiting for you to fill in the option text (namely, which sense/senses).
3) The only reason telescopic would be listed as "built in" is if you have purchased it separately for that sense group, in which case you're getting exactly what you asked for.
4) It is now.
5) Self only is a Modifier for Adjustment Powers (as HD tells you). The Limitation listed in UNTIL: DoF is a custom Modifier (actually, looks more like Limited Power to me). The only thing it shares with the Self Only Limitation is the display text -- the value is WAY higher on the RKA than the standard Limitation.

WG:
1) Either use a Custom Adder or modify the existing values to match. The display that HD uses is approved by Steve and is in accordance with the WG.
2&3) I will look into these, but no promises. The way the app displays abilities now is fine by Steve.

Post the whole template if you want me to take a look, snippets don't cut it.
I've changed it to any number of things in my templates and it's working just fine.

Just look at the Published Base Template in the zip file. It does the same thing.

It's working just fine.
What you have listed as the separator in your export template:
}{\b\f0\fs18 plus}{\f0\fs18
What I show in the output file:
}{\b\f0\fs18 plus}{\f0\fs18
Which comes across as a bold "plus"

Mine is much cleaner, the code in the template is what I posted above. Since, you don't believe me. I'll post some screen captures to show you what I'm seeing.

I used the template that you have posted for the RTF Published Base.
That is exactly what you have in it.
AGAIN, if you would like me to look at the template you are having problems with POST THE FRIGGIN' TEMPLATE!!

THAT IS THE FRIGGIN' TEMPLATE!!!
You know what? Forget it. This just isn't worth it. I thought I was doing a Good Thing(tm), but instead you would rather berate me and call me names and make assumptions that I'm an idiot. I don't need this, and I certainly don't need to put up with the crap you are constantly giving me for no reason.
I'm pulling all my templates, and WILL NOT be posting anymore period.
BTW, this is a screen capture of what the template looks like just to show you that you are not correct about what you are looking at.

The line that I posted I copied directly from the template that I pulled down from the Free Stuff section. The one with your name attached to it.
If you want me to look at a different template, you will quit your incessant bitching and post it.
I have checked the code, and it doesn't care what value you enter. I have tested the code WITH YOUR OWN TEMPLATE and it uses whatever value is entered.
Post your template or quit wasting my time.

Here's the problem guys. The FREE STUFF templates are not completely up to date. The most recent versions of the templates are in the first post of the... hmm... well... WERE in the first post of this (http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13922) thread.
But now they're gone.
Wonderful.
