Need help with costume colors

I'm in need of help figuring our what colors to use on this character of mines costume. The pic I'm using is from Hero Maker and I'm not sure if this will even be the costume I use....But I nees help finding colors that look right with his skin.

Could you post the HeroMaker "formula" for this character?
The download I got is a little fuzzy and I would have to spend a lot of time cleaning it up to put colors on it.
I think I could get a better result for you if I took it straight out of HeroMaker.

The skin is green, leaning towards blue (as opposed to yellow) on the color wheel.

Generally speaking, colors that are opposite on the color wheel will work well. Purple and Orange-Red (including reddish Browns) are opposite Green. There is a reason why Hulk's pants have been purple.

Contiquous colors can also work... in this case, blue-green or green yellows, I would guess lighter than the skin color, an aqua.

Grays always work if it is the right Value (the darkness or lightness of a color). But since the skin color is what we call a 1/2 Chromatic, it has a lot of gray in it already (Full Chromatic is as vibrant and "pure" a color can be, 1/4 and 1/2 chromatics are "earthy" tones). I would look for something that popped off that skin.

If it was me? I would go with a dark yellow-orange brown for some of the main areas of the suit, not full intensity color and darker in value than the skin. Then for the other areas, I would go with a yellow-orange that is lighter than the skin. But that is just me and what I can see in my head.

Thank you for you Ideas my wife suggested to me after posting this that I use black and purple...as soon as I decide on color scheme I am goiing to post this character in his own post. Until then I will welcome any one else input on this

I think the bright green on Mangog's first post would look good as a main color, with a deep blue (something like the side panel on these boards) for the boots, gloves, and side panels. The use scarlet for the belt (with green dots), and for the piping on the boots and frontcloth.

Mind you, this is just off the top of my head, without doing any side-by-sides or real comparison to see how it would actually look.

I like your idea Blue, but heres a question does anyone no the main color of the Louisiana State flag and I will use that as the bright color (unless its green) after all this guy hails from Baton Rouge and is cajun

I think this one looks the best. The greens in the others clashes with Reptyle's skin tone.
