View Full Version : Avatars

I tried to add my usual avatar to my profile, but it exceeded the 50x50 size limitation (mine is 46x62). I looked at a bunch of other avatars, but they all exceed 50 pixels in height - most were either 46x62 or 48x64.
Can someone point me to a site where I can find avatars that are small enough to use on these boards?

Hmm, got access to a image editing program? Most will allow resizing.
IMHO, 50x50 is tiny. I'd like to see 80x80, since that allows a bit more room to manuever.

Silly question, how do you add an avatar?

100x100 would be perfect *begs and whines*

When you edit your profile, the very last option is about Avatars, and theres a button that will take you to that page. There you can point to an image on the web or on your PC and it'll be uploaded as your avatar

I would complain also, but my hack job avatar looks better at 50x50 :) .

Well, you can beg and whine all you want, it's a software default that we have no control over.
At least from what I can tell...

You don't need to test. If you were successful in setting an avatar, all your previous posts will have that avatar. (you may need to refresh once to get it to show, but you won't need to create a new post)

Guess that is a better reason than despising me for having mass and taking up space. ;)

This will not cause me to quit whining... maybe it will... ok... I've quit now, though I imagine it's somewhere in the config file.
I'll just have to make an avatar that looks good in 50x50

In earlier version of vBB you could edit the avatar size parameter. I can't remember if that is a edittable parameter or a add-on you had to download.

IMG code is off on the boards. I will kinda miss posting images.
