I'm trying to put together a prefab for the Terran Diplomatic Security Force (see Digital Hero issue 18 pages 52-57), and coming across a couple of snags.

1) I try entering the Disease Immunity Treatment (as found on page 27 of Spacer's Toolkit) manually, and the "1 Continuing Charge lasting 1 Year which Never Recovers" keeps coming up as a -3/4 Limitation instead of -2. Is this a bug, or could I be doing something wrong?

2) The Security Helmet and Battle Security Helmet (DH18 page 54) both have Activation Rolls of 5-, with a -4 Limitation based on a necessary extension of the Activation Roll Limitation. Do I have to create a Custom Modifier for this, or is there any way I can extend the Limitation in the program?

3) This part is really more asking opinion rather than technical advice... for the 10 points of Martial Arts and 20 points of Skills From Previous Service (both of which are open-ended requirements), what's the best way to handle these in a prefab?

I'll take a shot at trying to answer these, but I'm sure someone else will chime in with something more "official" and better...

1) HD tends to be more accurate than mere mortals regarding costs of modifiers so I would suspect the book is wrong, but you could just use a Custom Modifier to get the -2.

2) Yes, the Custom Modifier approach is the correct one to take.

3) Personally, I would add a Custom Manuever and Custom Skill costing the appropriate points with the title "To Be Distributed By Player" or somesuch. Then after the points are spent you can just delete the entry.

I double-checked the value of the charge, calculating by hand using FREd, and sure enough the program is right and the book is wrong. There's something for the STK errata.... :)

I took your advice on the other two matters as well. I'll make an attachment of the result a bit later on, for any further input from the folks at large (and so the Hero Guys can post it in the Free Stuff section, and Aroooo can put it on SHF). :D
