Is it possible for skills to be based off of custom chracteristics? If so, I am missing something.

If I define CUSTOM1 as a characteristic, with a display value of EDGE, it shows up fine on the characteristics list, but when I set the characteristic choice of a skill (brand new or just copied from main.hdt) to CUSTOM1, the skill shows up as general.

When I use DEF instead of CUSTOM1, the skill shows up as based on DEF (not EDGE, as specified in my definition).

If this should be possible, I can post my template for others to point out what I am doing wrong. If not, is it something that might be added?

To my knowledge, you're the first one to try this.

It should be fixed in the current interim build. Give it a try and let me know if you still have problems.
