Oh yeah! Can you believe it?! Already?! No way, you say! But I say it's true! IT'S TRUE!

All of the cool weapons and armor and gadgets and gizmoes and doo0hickey's found in Gadgets And Gear are now in a Hero Designer Character Pack that you can purchase from the Online Store.

How cool is that? You tell me man, I only work here!

Does it include the pictures of the gadgets and gear? If not, is there a way to get it? I mean I plan on buying it but I don't think I'll pay twice, once for the book and once for the files. If I can only get the pictures included with the book, I'llbuy the book and enter the data myself.

That brings up another question, what about possibility of including the Hero designer files with the books?

I have to strongly agree.

If I drop $30 I want the whole package with both the HD and an PDF of the book. I want the pictures and other information particularly the background info on the characters.

I wouldn't mind spending $40 or $45 for both the HD prefab and the hard copy.

To avoid having this discussion again, I'll just point you to the thread that previously addressed this:

In summary, no there are no pictures. If you want pictures, buy the book.

We do not offer PDF versions of any of our books. We're in the business of selling printed books, not HD character packs or PDFs of our books.

My thread-necromancy fu is powerful.

Now that the quotation is no longer accurate, are there plans to release a PDF of Gadgets & Gear? I have the book, but I don't have Hero Designer, but I'm interested in having the writeups in computerized form (as was done with USPDB).

Thanks for listening.

There is an HD Packet available for Gadgets and Gear. See the Online Store for Details.

Right. I guess I don't understand Hero Designer very well, but would that be any use to me if I neither have, nor am interested in getting, Hero Designer? I assume HD Packets are only readable by Hero Designer; if not, that would be good to know.

Thanks.

Edit: I guess I'm probably posting my PDF question in the wrong thread.

You possibly are posting in the wrong forum. But no, if you get the HD Character Pack, it will be not very usefull unless you have Hero Designer (as that is what it was made for).

I am sure you can find a use for it if you wanted. I know people have been using those CD's from AOL for years as coasters...
