Another shooting star, a red one. This time you and your teammates arrive at the the landing site just in time to see the new arrival emerge from the impact crator. The red alien appears to be female, and a very beautiful one at that (think COM 30). She looks all of you over and then starts aggressively flirting with one of the party, who immediately acts like they're under the influence of either some kind of hypnotism or superhuman pheromones. What do you do?

The player would be wondering why the GM wasn't smacking Adonis around with this since he has a vulnerability to just this kind of Mind Control.

Adonis, who isn't really aware of this vulnerability, would probably attempt to flirt with the alien himself.

Husky could easily be the one being manipulated. He not going to think anything of it except "Gosh what a nice lady." Now after he changes into Kenneth things change. Kenneth will recall the incident with suspicion and check the gauntlets passive scans for more clues. He'll then try to develop a temporary defense for Husky and incorporate it into the gauntlets.

There's a powerful alien psychic on the team. He should be able to figure out exactly what's going on in the head of either of them. If the character specifically targets anthem, well then I guess she's from the planet Lesbos.

Uncle Slam is currently running a pack of Primus Agents through their paces. If any of them fall under her influence he will disarm the man and then attempt to communicate with the woman. If she targets U.S. then she'd have to have pretty stong mental (or maybe CON based) mind control because he's got both stats pretty high because he's a strong willed individual.

Starguard -- "Hello? Hellooooo... Hey! Warmaster, make her stop that!"

('Warmaster Fielan' is the group mentalist.)

(And given his EGO 45 and obnoxious MD, as well as his VPP of "mind-over-body" powers in addition to telepathy, is vanishingly unlikely to be the one Mind Controlled...)

Apex-The only male in a trio of supers. I think he'd be the victim of the mind control.

Recluse- Solo hero. Victim again.

Wildcard-Ditto.

My namesake is not easily mind controlled. Though he is very uncomfortable and awkward around the opposite sex, so he might run in fear as flirting is a situation he probably wouldnt be able to handle.

Though a member of one of my old groups would probably do some flirting back. Though he would be pretty sure he saw this on a porno.

Sludge... no comment.

Robot : Roll his eyes at the fallibility of flesh, and try to snap them out of it. As he does so, he'll try to ask questions.

Flippant: Immediately stop breathing air from this dimension. Then try to stop it ('Stop, please.' Drag away teammate. Attempt to restrain them)
If it seems to affect him anyway, leave. Hopefully someone else has MD... :)

Wraith: Back off, and try to balance out the mind altering effects by siccing a ghost on the poor schlub.

Bedouin: Jumpjets to 20 metres behind, and assume combat position. With theees team, mind control is very worrying. :)
Open fire if demands to desist not followed.

Start kickING @$$!

Joking. Haven't read other threads but... Got a Mentalist on the team? Have them do an Aid to victim's Ego, or dispel Mind Control, or Supress, or whatever. Then talk to her and find out her story.

The Crimson Seraph: Ask the fine young lady for a date! At last a woman as pretty as he is! :snicker:

Adrenaline appears to the public to be a very confindent man in his late 30's who is the strong silent type. The real Adrenaline is a shy, unconfident 19 year old (his costume includes a full battle helmet). He would probably be too shy to do anything with the alien.

Rift would go for it. Alien or not, a chick is a chick (although he isn't a dummy, he would check the "equipment" before things went too far, those aliens can be tricky).

Hecabus would play along with this alien, just to see what the plan was (as a vampire and with his ego he should easily be immune). Then he would try and recruit her for to either be one of his top leaders (if she is powerful enough) or one of his sanctified churchs (gambling dens, bars and brothels).

Irving would be completely oblivious (and immune to any biological-based effect if this is indeed pheremones), but unless he really suspects ulterior motives he tends to let beings who have (seemingly) reached the age of consent do what they wish.

Special Agent Trent would raise his force field (if it wasn't already up) and demand that the woman stop what she's doing immediately. If she didn't, he would consider the mind control (pheremones wouldn't occur to him) an attack, and respond with his psychokinetic energy blast.

Trent hates telepaths. Telepathy hurts.

Also, the portions of his brain responsible for receiving telepathic effects have been cross-wired into the portions responsible for aggression, thanks to the incident which cursed him with his powers. The red woman is lucky she didn't start with him.

Colonel Jonathan Rebman. As a ghost possessing a cast iron Statue, Colonel Rebman is reasonably resistant to mental control. He's resistant to most things, actually. The most obvious attack here would be the rebel yell, which would drain the presence of both individuals.

First however, the official team mentalist would use his metallist senses to confirm that this was, in fact, a mental attack. and try to telepathically hack the motives behind it.

He won't ever be able to switch over to the ectoplasma rifle, however. he has the "a true gentleman" disadvantage, and can't hit a girl

Let's see. Snow Leopard is a heterosexual female. Millennium has a vow of celebacy. Dolphin is Gay, and Iron Will is 13. Any of them start acting as described and their team mates should open fire.

Cheetah, OTOH, is heterosexual, has a steroid induced increased sex drive, a bit of a dog, and has an established history of going after ET tail. If he acted as described, his team mates would think business as usual.

Nova is not part of a regular team, but assuming he would be at this while having some of his associates along and the alien hits on him... they would not see nothing unsual in the scene, as Nova has a big weak side for pretty ladies. Only if he were acting really unusual for his character, they would assume something fishy. If the alien would hit on someone else, he would probably flirt with her on his initiative. He would only get suspicious if his friend ws obviously not of his mind.

Microman II. . . would be unlikely to be the victim here. A few sonic blasts should take down the alien being, if it is necessary.

Mask of Justice: Pour cold water on the affected fellow. That usually does the trick. He'd be reluctant to attack the alien (being a Golden Age character with the implications about hitting women) unless his powers revealed that her attractive appearance was merely a disguise.

Rock Bottom: " Hmm...I dunno, Thunderfist might just find her attractive, if you like women. Hey, Tao, you're the one with the kitchen sink powers, is this okay?"

Calculus: Cold water treatment, and holding breath just in case. His superintelligence should make it plain if his teammate is acting in character or not.

Kira Midori: Will do a quick mind probe of the alien to see what she's up to, and make decisions from there.

Talion: "Aw, man, the hot alien babes never hit on *me.* Call me if you need me, I'm just gonna go home and eat a gallon of ice cream."

First, feel insulted that they would say the woman is prettier then she is. Actually (looks at team again), Cyrande is the one most vunerable to such, and has no problems hitting on women, though she wouldn't take it further then such.
