Quick question, just to make sure I interpret this corectly.

If I buy the HD2 disc I get all versions under the sun.

If I download one I can save $5, but I can only download one flavor?

Is there a way yo pay for the download and get each version as I often have access to at least 3 of the systems it can run on? or do I need to actually just buy the disc and not dowload the software to get all versions?

The latter.

The download is one version only.

If you want installers for all supported operating systems, you have to buy the CD.

Of course, there are always options. I purchased and downloaded the Window version, but had trouble at all migrating it over to my Mac when that became my primary workstation. One of the advantages of Java applications is that they aren't like Windows apps that scatter files all over your harddrive. Every required file was in teh Hero Designer directory that I simply copied over to my Mac.

Well, wasn't sure if that was the case, or there were different compiles for each machine. You just answered my query... now where did I put my credit card?

John D. The main issue with that approach is that you will not get the launchers or the proper configuration to start the app.

This is not difficult to overcome, but puts you outside of the purview of HD support.

In other words: you're on your own for this approach and may well run into issues.
