Extra Time 1 Turn

I am confused regarding the Extra Time 1 Turn modifier. On the chart on page 187 it says post segment 12. In the example on page 186 (Andara's gadget) it says 1 turn segment to segment.

Which is correct?

They're both correct. You could do it whichever ways seems most appropriate to the ability in question.
