Steve and company,

I know that at one time there had been discussion about Hero Games taking up an entire room just for those events. This was being done to make it easier for us devoted Herophiles to "float" from game to game, if we weren't registered for events ahead of time.

Do you know if this is still a possibility? That would be a great thing! Thanks!

Offhand I don't recall any discussion of that for GenCon; I'm not even sure if GC makes such rooms available to anyone. We mentioned it as a possibility for Origins, which does have rooms dedicated to specific games/companies. And in fact this year we will have a "Hero Room" where, as I understand it, all the Hero events will be run, including some special or unusual events that we'll talk more about as the time approaches. ;)

Spideyguy,

I do know that there will be a great deal of hero games being run at GenCon.

If you are looking for full blown Champions mayhem I will be running a session called "Some People's Kids" so check it out ;)

I've been doing my best to organize some of the Hero events at both conventions. There are more games at Origins, including a hero room. However, we have a lot of terrific games at Gen Con too. For Hero, I've helped organize the following:

Some People's Kids: The Champions are asked to chaperone some "gifted" youngsters on a field trip to the local zoo. What could possibly go wrong? By Matt Phillips and Barton Stano

Dark Champions: In the Shadows: When the brightest lights of the Champions Universe are out dealing with Mechanon, Gravitar and other world threatening villains, who protects the average citizen in Millennium City? The greatest hero isn't always the one who rolls the most dice. Roleplaying is stressed in this street level game.

City of Heroes: The greatest superhero video game meets the greatest superhero pencil and paper game. Join Statesman and his teammates as they keep Paragon City safe in the aftermath of the Rikti invasion. This game will use the "official" City of Heroes characters in a fast paced and exciting adventure.

There should be no shortage of Champions and Hero games to play.

I will be running my SuperSquad America Champions game and my Friends of Justice Pulp Hero game at Gen Con Indy. They are being offered as part of the slate of the games run by Infinite Imaginations Inc., a long-time Gen Con GMing group that offers several other Hero events as well.

Infinite Imaginations has a full slate again and Rodney's games are a real blast. I'm also running

JSA: The Crosstime Caper: At previous Gen Cons, they fought Godzilla and the goddess Kali. Now, the JSA must battle an old foe who has mastered time itself. Choose among 18 great DC golden age characters and marvel at the twist tie miniatures

Big Brawl: Cereal Killers (With Dave Mattingly): I've run Cereal Killers games for years. Dave has run Big Brawls even longer. This time, cereal icons will battle against other food icons. If you've ever wanted to know if Count Chocula could take a bite out of The Jolly Green Giant, this one's for you.

Auditions IV:Reality TV's greatest hero team is back! Superhero action in the style of Mystery Men or The Tick. Will The Red Shirt die again? Will People Person find a useful quote from Oprah to save the day? Only you can find out.

LXC: The League of Xmas Characters: Imagine a world where all Christmas stories really happenned. Imagine a group made up of Frosty, Rudolph, Yukon Cornelius, The Grinch, and the greatest heroes a holiday has ever known assembled to fight a dastardly plot to ruin Christmas. This is the sequel to last year's The Night the Reindeer Died

Is there any chance of you posting your power/enhancement/inspiration writeups?

Or are you just writing up the "Surviving 8" for a one-shot adventure?

I will go ahead and post them at some point. However, the game is still being written. Most of the official characters are pretty straight forward at least.
