Alien #246 (Riders and Walkers)

This alien is approximately the size (and stats) of a small child, but has the intelligence equal to slightly above normal human adult. On the native planet, they have a subspecies that they have are Walkers for them. The Walkers are six to seven feet tall (but constantly slouch) and fairly strong and able. The small one "control" the Walker by making various pats and tugs to the head and shoulders. The Walkers can talk but are uneducated in abstract ideas except what their Rider would teach being their hands.

Option #1: Walkers walk on all fours but have two extra arms.
Option #2: Walkers really are intelligent animals that look vaguely human (like Earth's gorilla or great ape)
Option #3: A Walker becomes a Rider as part of the aging process.
