This (http://www.csupomona.edu/~jelerma/springfield/map/index.html) just screams to be used as a campaign map for someone. It has everything one would ever need:

- A wealthy and scheming elderly man and his flunky
- Nuclear power plant, complete with incompetent operator
- Mountains and campgrounds
- Several amusement parks
- A nuclear waste dump
- Military bases and historic sites
- A mall
- Sports fields
- A state prison
- Much more


I mean, what more could you want? The large map (http://www.csupomona.edu/~jelerma/springfield/spring_map.gif) is especially useful. The site is getting somewhat slashdotted right now, but if you can get to it, it's got great potential.

I mean, what more could you want?

I built-up downtown area with tall buildings (Downwon Springfield is pretty "short") that a giant yellow ape could climb.

This would be great for me, I'm looking to move my players to a brand-new city. Except for one problem...

Too many references on the map to the TV show. I can edit most of them out but some are a pain in the butt.

What would be nice is if a copy of this map could be made that was more generic (IE: Instead of Springfield Insane Asylum it just listed Insane Asylum). But that's just personal preference on my part, it's still a beautiful piece of work.
