New Post tags?

Has anything changed in the board setup for tracking new posts? Since yesterday, I've noticed that I'm getting few (if any) of the little green arrows, even for threads that I know have been updated.

I can't be for certain, but I beleive it's because the update arrows only stay up for about an hour or two. I didn't notice myself until about a week ago.
