I'm calling this IIIa because I'm nowhere near Acroyear in talent and this is more of a color scheme dilemna...

These are some ideas for Knightstick. He's a cop turned vigilante, who's father was The Blue Marvel, the Chicago PD's "masked solution" to problems in the 60s, as corrupt as the regular force was back then. Let me know what you think.

I would go with Design 2B but with white instead of Gray.

That's what I think.

I like 2c. The colors offset well and it's an a-typical color combination. I also feel the solid color arms and legs creates a sense of gracefulness without a lot of stripes or patchy blocks to break up the smooth lines.

I like 1C myself, the design on the side for the first bach I just like more, but I like the white and dark gray color combo (Though, it might be too 'bright' if you want this guy to be stealthy, still, that aside, that's the one I like).

I definitely prefer the more stylized look of series 2. And if you're going to have a police theme, you should have an element of blue in your costume. That should be a rule.

Also, I agree with death tribble, I'd like to see 2b with white instead of grey.

I'm liking the ones with more white in them. Deep contrat in colors generally seems to work better on heroic outfits, with a few exceptions of course.

Thanks for the input. Seems everyone likes the white insets. Rev 1 reflects this. He is supposed to be stealthy, but I follow the Rainbow Ninja Suit rule "Even if your costume is Safety Orange, you can still hide in shadows". Any other design suggestions?

I liked 1 C of the originals
3 from the revision. Its a nice concept, simple, elegant, and very cool looking.

I'm sticking with #3 on the revisions. I might have added a line/dart/thing where the horse's eye would be, but it's really not necessary...

2B, Blue on white, with a darker shadow.

Okay, not much input so Rev 2 is basically the same with an eye added to the horsey. Tried the darker shading and didn't like it.

Now, see... the eye is what I would do.

However, I think that it's not needed and, perhaps, takes away from the flow of that "swoosh" white area with an unusual "stutter." I'd keep the eye only if I went in and added more detail (like pads and patches of whatnot and utility pockets).

In your design, I'd probably drop the eye.

Taking Acroyear's advice, I decided on 'simple' and 'utility belt'.

I think I prefer the former designs. There was a gracefulness/acrobatic feel to them that is lost to the belt version.

I like #3, but I like the chest design of #1 better than what is currently on #3.

I think it's cool (the utility belt and sheath for his hand weapon), but I also agree with Acroyear about the coolness and simplicity of the earlier designs. Is his hand weapon just a a short club, or does it extend at all? It kind of reminds me of the Minbari battle staff that expands from B5

Telescopic ala Checkmate's lances/Minbari battle staff

I like the simple elegance of the first one. I don't need the eye or the utility belt. Still liked the gray better, but simple is good.

OK, went with simple, but added the hoslter. Thanks for all your input.

I like the latest revision. How did the holster look in white?

Syberdwarf2
Mar 22nd, '03, 09:48 PM
None of the above. I'd make it dark, dark navy blue (top) with black on the bottom (knight design).

Give the man some goggles, either mirrored or black. You could load them up with all sorts of surveillance gizmos.

In the second revision, I just kinda liked the first one from the left. Something about having the horse's mane under your armpit just rubs me the wrong way.

Oh well, since I'm obviously a minority of one...
