I just read on pg 73 about "maximum effect." I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly.

My character has a 2d6 aid w/ continuous charges (lasting 1 turn each) . So, does this mean that once it has aided con +6 (12 total points), it becomes useless?

If so, assuming a 3.5 average per d6, it would be useless to have aid last more than 2 phases, yes?

BTW, thanks for being here for your customers, Steve.

Making an Aid Constant does not overcome the maximum effect. In your example, the Aid would stop functioning once it added 12 points of effect. If it were to last more than a Turn, it would remain in effect and could keep Aiding the recipient once the early parts of the Aid started to fade (the Rules FAQ has a question about this).
