View Full Version : A 5th or 6th plea for all modifiers...

I am just here making another plea to Dan to allow all Advantage and Limitations to be available for all Powers, Skills, Talents, and Perks within the system.

As I now have 3/4 of the Until Superpowers Database put into the system I can say in all honest that there are dozens of power examples which show Advantages and Limitations not currently available for a power being used within the sourcebook. I have become a master with the Custom Modifier, but I do not think I should have to be.

The HERO System rules are designed to have no superficial limits placed upon them. I think Hero Designer should have that same ability. Please, for version 2.0, make it so that all Advantages and Limitations can be used for any possible combination without having to resort using Custom Modifiers for established modifiers.

I agree, FWIW.

I'm not going to make them all available. However, if you can give me (official) examples where there is a Power construct that has Modifiers that HD does not make available, I can adjust the Modifier logic.

This is, of course, assuming that it's not some special "don't normally do this without GM permission" type of thing....

I agree with Dan, I like the logic feature, however (and to my knowledge it does work thisway, I have not ran into many cases where it has not) GM permision should only give a popup saying ask your GM (I may be wrong, comments Dan?)

Actually, what I've tried to do in most cases where an ability is listed as "with GM permission" is to just make it available. As we move onto v2, I'll be refining this process a bit to have both "fatal" and "non-fatal" warnings....so Modifiers that require GM permission can be assigned, but will create a popup notifying the user that they should check with their GM. That type of thing.
