Another standard vehicle with a whole crapload of variants
I just used stats for the M-60 for the LMG
if somebody has something better thats cool too

is there any real need to modify the standard M2HB for its WW2 cousin?

Nope, no real reason to change the stats. The M2 goes back to just after WW1 with the M1921 water cooled .50 cal, saw some improvements during the 1930's (air cooled, and then a heavy barrel, the HB in M2HB). Since 1941 there have been few changes, in fact a good number of the weapons out there date back to WW2. The only significant improvement has no real effect on the game and that would be SACO's QCB mod (quick change barrel) in the 1980's. On the original M2HB some careful headspace measurements needed to be taken when fitting a barrel making it impractical in the field.
