Turakian Age Language Familiarity For HD

I am trying to figure out how to create my own language familiarity relatinships in HD for the chart on pg 198 of TA. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to do this in HD. Or has someone already done this and would be willing to share?

My preference would be to learn how for myself...if someone can help.

Language Familiarities are defined in the template...so you'd be looking to make a custom template and manually enter the relationships in the same manner as they appear in main.hdt.

It's a very "brute-force" kind of method to enter them....due to the rather complex nature of the language familiarity chart(s), it seemed like the only way to handle it within an XML structure.

So we'd have to have two seperate main templates?

One when we made Turakian characters, and one when we made other characters?

Read the documentation on templates and inheritance/hierachy -- your custom template would simply extend the main template, defining those custom areas that you want to have. That way, your custom template will be in-sync with any updates that are made to the built-in templates.
