Hey all! On Tuesday the 10th the damaged products available in the Online Store (what's left of 'em, anyway), will revert to their original "$5 off" discount structure. So it's your last chance to take advantage of Hero's shelf-space-crisis-mandated half-off sale- do it now, or you'll regret it. Maybe not tomorrow, or the next day, but soon, and for the rest of your life. dw

good thing I got my FH order in on time, then ;)
Unfortunately, I missed for the Bestiary, and don't have cash enough for MMM yet. Maybe next sale ;)
Or maybe when 5ER comes out.
Anyway - hope you guys did well on it, and thanks for having it!

No! I will not have a conspiracy to get me to spend money! I won't hear of such a thing!
Some day I'll buy the bestiary ... but probably not now ... not when I've just bought one game book...
Laz is only allowed one every few months :(

Thank you Humphrey Bogart. :)
And is Tina supposed to be Ingrid Bergman? ;)

I would really really like to take advantage of this...
But I can't seem to log into the store. I don't suppose there's some way to check my registered info, to make sure I'm not just typing int he wrong stuff? I couldn't find any 'click here to be e-mailed your password' thing--did I miss it? Is there no way I can find out what I'm doing wrong? (%)

hm... is it at all possible to get new orders in on the previous shipping cost too?
... actually, don't tell me, for if you say yes I'll be tempted to buy more stuff :p
Big question, though: when are orders to Canada next being shipped out?

What's the verdict on the sale? Success? Failure? Are the shelves clean?

Those should be going out at the end of the week.

I would have to say that the sale was indeed a success.

It was certainly a success for me. I replaced all of my core Hero System books, and then some. :)

Thanks, Ben. So I should expect it in about 2 weeks, then? Something like that?

Yeah something like that. Although the shipping option we use at the post office says 4-6 weeks for international orders, Canadians generally get their orders in half that time.

Rather a delicate question if you think about it, at least from DOJ's point of view.
If they say they are going to do it again someday, it is like saying:
"Hey everybody! Don't buy any damaged books! They will pile up and be a pain in the rear for us, and then you will get a discount on them! Not only do we get to put up with the stacks of books, we get to make less money on selling them too!"
I just figure that if the time comes, they will do it again.

Well, it took roughly two years to build up to the first one. Hopefully it will take at least as long until the next one.

sorry.. this was meant more like a joke than anything else...
it was not my intention to sugest or wish that DOJ would do badly so i can get stuff cheap...

lrojas,
Don't worry about it, I was just kidding you too.
I figure that the only thing that really controls how many damaged books they end up with, is how careful the printers and shippers are.
Most people probably prefer to purchase the books in pristine condition, and those who do not are probably not willing to wait around for months/years in the hopes of another sale, especially since the items they want may not be in stock by then.
Sorry if I seemed to be making a big deal about it.:)

Not to worry! Absolutely no offense taken. :hex: We just don't want people to start waiting for damaged book sales or anything, so we want to be really up front about how long it takes and all those other factors. ;)

I missed the sale too, but I mostly buy the stuff I really want new(and immediately) anyways. If I had purchased anything during the sale, it would have been items near the bottom of my list...or Millennium City(which for some reason has fallen apart on me).
