Helpful software for game mastering Hero

Question for the Gallery again. I am looking for all software to speed my game along. Hopefully free or shareware but if it is good I want to know about it. Software to help resolve combats in hero, the best dice roller anyone has run across, Game journaling programs or note taking ones that work well for quick notes in game.

So basically the question is I would like to take as much of the mechanics off the players as possible with software on my laptop, leaving them the ability to roleplay unfettered so to speak. What software works best for this while still using the Hero system rules?

Look in the 'Hero Links' section of the website. There's an excellent dice roller there that even accounts for single dice (useful for explosions). I often use it to pre-roll large numbers of attacks before game day. Really speeds up combat. There's also, IIRC, a program on the random character generator (I want to say trimera.com??) called 'Hero Helper'. Plug in data from your PCs, and it acts like a computerized Combat Record Sheet right outta da book.

You can make random characters and download Hero Helper 1.5 (Hero Helper 2.0 is coming very soon)

The site also has a Dice Roller (as does Hero Helper)

Good luck with that BTW. With so many projects for me to work on at one time, (Champs, SH, and FH campaigns in various stages of development, plus (finally ) playing in a TE campaign) I'm in desperate need of any help I can get. The generators there have been great sources of material and the dice rollers are wonderful for pre-rolling before any game that I run.
