tinkering with a new design

instead of the usual lasers etc... this mounts a fixed forward firing particle accelerator

the damage isnt great, but the suprression is basically an EMP

its borrowed with permission from the X-Tek website, which was originally intended as a traveller design

The Light Particle Cannon can't attack anything closer than 1km (read up on megascale.)

you are correct, the weapon is intended to have a minimum range however
its not designed for attacking small fast moving targets also
