Maybe threads could be marked. Something like [Iron] or [4color] according to content so the fans of either side could safely avoid them? :)

That might make things worse... but it might help as well :) what if you like elements of both like me :)

Well, then you're a freak and must be scorned. :)

I hardly think it's necessary, though it might help a bit. Although I've seen a bit too much conflict between opposing viewpoints here (or rather, more than I used to), it really doesn't bother me. These boards are still the nicest, most civil boards on the net.
If someone does want to "mark" their theads, I'll probably be best if it were the first thing mentioned in the post. Such as a "Here's an idea I had for a Silver Age campaign I'm running...." kinda start.
Of course, this may only start a bunch of thread derailing arguements about what is and isn't part of a particular subgenre/age of superheroics.

Maybe put Iron Age stuff mostly in Dark Champions, and Silver/Bronze in Champions?

I agree with what Aaron Allston wrote in the Champions book: that so-called "Iron Age" superheroes are Champions (genre-wise), not Dark Champions.
