Threads on Ignore

Is there a way to put an entire thread on Ignore? I find myself going into some trainwrecks, and am too weak to resist.

If not, I shall learn willpower.

Let it go brother. Do not let a handful of arrogant jerks ruin it for you. The other 2,000+ people on the message boards are pretty cool. Just ignore it and it goes away all by itself. Trolls feed on the attention so do not give them any.

Excersize that willpower. Pick threads carefully, and if you go into one that you know you are going to find annoying despite your best intentions, resist the urge to post.
A large part of the NGD is a (fairly civil) shouting match.

Slightly different topic...

Is there a way to "put subforums on ignore"? I commonly use the "New Posts" button, but to be honest the NGD threads sorta overwhelm everything else. (Not that I have a problem with NGD, I just don't post there much.) A way to set options to ignore new posts in NGD would be neat.
