What is the average Presence in your campaigns? Just how impressive are the heroes and villains in it?

It seems that most of the characters in our games have about an 18 PRE. Villians are generally higher than the PCs. It is rare that a PC will try a PRE attack since they figure it will have a marginal result at best. Like-wise the villians rarely do PRE attacks ether, because the GM forgets or because the effects are generally marginal as well.

The characters seem to purchase PRE simply as a way to improve their PRE-based skills. I too am guilty of this train of though.

My own character has 3 or 4 unspend XP. Perhaps I'll start bumping up my PRE as I get a chance. Since our group seems to have mostly forgotten it, I may gain an edge. :)

My group is probably in the 15-20 average. Enough to keep you from fainting if Doc D. DOES decide to go 'booga' :) They rarely use PRE attacks, except maybe on agents.

Since EGO also works to defend, the mentalists in my campaigns tend to have lower PRE than say, the Bricks. :)

I guess the average is 15-20. We don't have to many beyond 20 unless they have been around for a very long time.
For my own character, Ghost Archer, at 38 PRE, I do use it quite a bit. In fact, my GM sometimes makes a PRE attack roll without my asking just by the way I play.

Most of our heroes are 20-25, with at least one 30+ on each team.

Both the heroes and villains in our games were doing so many Presence attacks that we instituted a house rule making a Presence Attack a Zero-Phase action.

Of the 4 PC's, 2 have 15-20 and 1 has 23. The fourth (Hexadecimal) varies anywhere from 18 to 30 depending on her form.

Having said that, I have NPC's that get into the low 30's and one in particular that hits 60 if he's willing to pay END.

We play in a very high powered campaign(Avengers level) and I play a character who is one of those street killer, dark champs, justice not law types who's prescence is actually a 40. Suprisingly even a presence this high doesn't laways get the reaction your looking for. The rest of the players have a 10-20 range(We are high-powered supers after all). It seems to work out well.

I only ever pump enough points into PRE to keep from getting PRE-attacked out of action (it's bad enough to get beat by Dr. Destroyer on TV, it's really bad when CNN broadcasts you wetting your costume). So my PREs allways fall in the 13-18 range. Less than 13 and I'm vulnerable to PRE-attacks, and lets face it there's some vanity there too. At 18, I feel fine. Above 20 and I feel that my character should have some reason why his presense is super-humanly high.

The game I'm running is currently between Very high power, and cosmic level...

Most of the PCs have around a 20 presence, except one, the 'perfect' human Über at 30, Captain Havoc, the Iron Man/Batman hybrid at 20 with 50 more purchased only to frighten, and Varakort, the last Dragon of Avalon with a natural 60.

So the group averages out to around 30+
