I have a hard drive in an external (firewire/USB 2) enclosure that I run HD from. I'd like to be able to take this drive with me to use on other people's PCs because I never game at my house and I don't take my laptop with me. Aside from changes in appPrefs.xml (which I plan to take care of by keeping different versions of that file saved somewhere to copy to HD's directory when I need them) are there any potential problems I should be worried about? I really don't want to keep multiple installs updated so this seems like the ideal solution for me if it can be done as easily as I think it can.

Should work fine....

If you run into any problems, let me know and I'll see what I can figure out.

I decided to do some testing last night on my wife's PC and I didn't have any problems. Yet another reason to love this program!

Hmm, now I'm confused as to why it worked for me. There's one more file that's different between the 2 - HeroDesigner.lax. After looking at this file with a text editor I can understand why that is (class paths), but I don't understand why it worked on the other PC in the first place.

More importantly, am I correct in thinking this file shouldn't be changed by an update, and therefore I can just keep different copies to use for different drive letters just like appPrefs.xml?
