another trigger questions

1- can we use trigger to obtain a 0phase action spell?

2-i make a spell for my character....when a enemy attack me in a hth suprised attack:: a armor of ice (8rpd) is cast: ice armor 8rpd trigger( only in a suprised hth attack) my question is: in a suprised attack how determine if my spell work before is attack help.......

1. On page 175 it says that it is a zero-phase action if the character has to take some kind of action.

2. Damage Shield would probably be better for it. See the Hero Rulebook page 174 (Trigger) and page 163 (Damage Shield).

Another option would be to buy Danger Sense, usable only by the trigger to perceive incoming attacks.
