Warning!
Newbie Alert!

First off I miss the old smilies!!!

Ok, I noticed that the Damage Shield Limiter is missing from HD; was this intentional?

Next Question:
I just found out from a friend of mine that you are not supposed to be able to take both a Focus and a Only in Hero ID limiter on the same power. Why is that?

Just seeking some justifacation here.

Next Question:
How would I go about in HD making Energy Body as they have by example in the main Heroe's 5th Edition Book under the power Desolidifacation?

Do I have to do it as individual powers? Is there no way to do it as one actual power? I tried custom powers, but that just wasn't the same thing.

Next Question:
I was making a character that had a weapon system multi-pool and one of the attack modes had a linked flah, but I could only get the flash attack as another slot and not in the same power; how can this be done? Basically the same question I guess as the previous one.

Thanks for yer time tolerating the newbi!
:D

hehehe....welcome to 5th Edition.

Damage Shield is in there, but, like most Modifiers, will only be available for Powers that it can legally be applied to. Damage Shield requires that a Power be Constant. Either innately or by purchasing the Continuous Advantage. Once the Power is properly defined, Damage Shield will appear in the list of Available Advantages.

Focus and OIHID: You'll need to pose that question to Steve....I just write the software ;)

Energy Body: Use Compound Power. Compound Power allows you to join multiple different Powers together into a "single" contruct.

Linked in Power Frameworks: This is actually the same answer as for Energy Body: Use Compound Power. Linking Powers within Power Frameworks was one of the main reasons that Compound Power was necessary (and created).

Hope this helps!

I also have never really understood the rule that limits people from taking Only in Hero ID and a Focus limitation on the same power. There are instances where it does make sense.

Interesting change on Damage Shield. I've seen on some parts of these boards people mention that Damage Shield was overpowered in 4th edition- it never was a problem in my group though. I plan to use Damage Shield the same way we did in 4th edition, making it only work on a constant power seems needlessly complex. Only my 2 cents though. I've just been using Custom Modifier to apply Damage Shield to my good ol' Energy Blasts.

And you can use both in those instances. The book doesn't say you can't ever have both on the same Power... it says you can't usually have both. If you've got a construct where you and your GM agree that it makes sense for both to be on it, go ahead. :)
