Your GM has announced he's going to run an alternate Earth game and he wants you to make a modified version of your character to fit his "Alternate Earth Setting. The GM is being deliberately unclear about whether you'll be playing your alt character or if your regular character will be facing them.

So what is different about your character from

Nationalist Earth

The world is just like the "real" one (for the most part) but it is fractioned into a mutlitude of smaller countries. Your character exmeplifies the values and goals of one nation. Describe the country that idolizes you and everything you stand for. As well as how that kind of "responsibility" would alter your character.

Starguard -- is a citizen of no nation, as she cannot remember her past. She succors the downtrodden and oppressed.

Dr. Pain -- a laborer and local roughneck (albeit good-hearted) who is the "champion" of some obscure spit-patch barony along the Mississippi River.

Baron von Darien -- is most likely President-For-Unlife of one of the mid-sized nations...

Cyrande would be be the star of Malva, not only their bright princess, but chooser of champions, sent to Earth to take the finest of fighters back to the arena, Malva's attention drawn by the resemblance between this world and their own gladiator fights. For some reason, the Princess and her consort, the Grand Champion, only seem to capture the worst nations champions, leaving them to the mercy of their kinder neighbors...

Though I imagine the Baron might be on her list....

Style - National hero of the free city-state of Oxford.

Flesh Gordon - Hero and defender of the great nation of Hollywood, or possibly Venice Beach.

AnimeGai - Hero of Chiba City.

Dr.Amazing would be the clean-cut prince, son of the science-patriarch of some american and british union island nation founded on superscience and silver age ideals. The people would love, hate, idolize, and envy him like a celebratity, and he would feel less of the a generalized responsibility to the general good or more to improving the quality of life in his nation, even at the cost of that of other nations.

Superbadger- Why are these people following me? GO AWAY!
Actually, if he was ruler, it would be of a sparsely populated patch of rugged wilderness. A forest or possibly even jungle (though he wouldnt particularly enjoy the heat there). Wherever he could be left alone (or at least be left alone on his terms)

Flippant:
With travel greatly reduced, his family and him are still in what we would know as Eastern Europe. Here, however, he is cultured, elite; a world traveler (in more than one sense), and probably fencing MA not gymnastics. Graceful, majestic, and unlike Earth1 Flippant, is free to be truthful about his metahumanity.

Estatua:
Not much of a change, really... okay, so he's now the representative of a smaller chunk of South America than before, and he's no longer on an international team. Not that muych of a change though. Oh, and he represents fighting spirit, never giving up, self sacrifice...

"St Barbara"would probably be the hero of at least part of Denmark (How badly did the world fracture ?) and would be more aggressivly patriotic/ nationalistic than she is now !

Husky would be the noble Hero of the artificial satelite "Huskiton 2" populated by intellectuals and artificial intelligences. Huskiton 2 would be a Meritocracy where grand schemes and plans are respected for their vision and the occasional large explosion would be accepted as a necessary side effect of finding a cure for cancer and developing pocket fusion. Huskiton 2 would actually be secretly preparing for space launch with the intent of finding a suitable world and terraforming it into a Utopia.

Apex- Defender of the great Texan Empire! Most likely is name would be changed to "Texan" and thus so would the design on his chest.

Recluse- Apparently an American Indian group won in this world and continued winning. Grandmother Spider would probably have favored someone entirely different, and this new recluse would be a champion of the tribe.

Wildcard- New Atlantica (Which we'd know better as Atlantic city) like Nevada with plant life :) No name change.

Sailor Io and the rest of the Senshi are the protectors and defenders of Mystic Tokyo, a shining city where humans live and work side by side with a wide assortment of mystical beings and legendary creatures. Mystic Tokyo is one of those places where no one would be overly surprised to have a cat walk up and say "Hello, would you mind sharing that ice cream." The Senshi, beloved idols of many, attempt to act as role models while balancing their responsibilities to the city and their school work. They probably are all stuck dealing with more than their fair share of otaku as well.

Cannis and her Pack mates serve as the enforcers for Adam Zero, President for Life and CEO of a Small Country in California. In this city, where everyone is in some way associated with the Zero Corporation, mutants are the elite. Humans, though technically second class citizens, are still able to have a perfectly good life in the city. Cannis and her pack mates are very open about being mutants, and probably don't bother to maintain a secret id. Cannis is a respected researcher in the R&D department while being given the freedom to set her own hours and deal with any other issues that Adam needs resolved. And occasionally gives gymnastic performances at company events. However, by night, she and her teammates still occasionally engage in assorted "deniable" activities as needed by Adam.

Actually, Vitus would probably champion Ethiopia. Hot, dry, proud, with a long and colourful history both religious and secular. He'd be genuinely dedicated to transforming his nation into a powerful ideal, if not 'modern', and to doing the best by his people. God help anybody that gets in the way. Religious devotion towards him wouldn't be unexpected, either.

Mike the Demoness: Although it would seem to be a natural fit, she's going to strictly avoid joining up with any 'Hells on Earth'. She doesn't need to eat, doesn't age, and is otherwise generally quite independent from needing anyone else; she just might declare herself a Sovereign individual, a nation of one. With complications starting to come in when other people start asking to immigrate to and join her country...

Rubber Mousie: Champion of Niagara Falls, which was transformed first by Nikola Tesla's massive AC generators, and then the rest of his superscience inventions. Being made of rubber, she's naturally fairly immune to all the electric bolts that fly around overhead or at random intervals.

Cold Steel

Shadowhawk: will be ruler of the Free City of Manhattan.

Nautika: Empress of Hawaii.

Querysphinx
Dec 22nd, '07, 09:58 AM
Query would be the chairbeing of the High Research Council at the Free Campus of Harvard. "Didn't I imply I knew what you were going to ask?"

st barbara

"St Barbara" would be heroine of Copenhagen, her home city and still the place that she loves most in the multiverse !

Vixen would most represent ... hmm. Someplace shallow, flashy with little substance, and with great shopping. So, California, perhaps? Or perhaps a mall that seceded from the union.
