There is a subgrnee of stories (mostly on television, many animated) in which teenagers are recruited into international espionage work and prove to be extraodinarily good at it. I don;t have Dark Champions yet, but since that seems to be the de fact source material for espeionage campaigns of all sorts, can the teen-spy camaign be handled well and how well would ti work.
Aside from which, I'm wondering what people would rather see their camapigns inspired by: Kim Possible or Totally Spies!?

I would also be very curious to see this. I have been a big fan of Teen Champions and I think the sub-genres would share a lot of feel.
I would lean more towards Totaly Spies but surely there are more options.
How about a young James Bond? The Teen from U.N.C.L.E.?

Don't forget Spy Kids. But for my money, I'd pick Spyboy.

There were also the two Frankie Muniz movies, 'Agent Cody Banks'.
I haven't watched any of the teen-spy shows or movies, so don't know the differences. From the few shots I have seen of Totally Spies it looks like they tend to add supertech powers to ordinary gadgets.

Section One's Farm Team comes to mind if someone wanted to run a more dark and serious game. After basic training, the Farm Team is assigned Abeyance (suicide) Missions until Section is satisfied with their performance.

There actually was an animated series called James Bond Jr. about 007's teenage cousin (who also happened to be named James Bond) and the adventures he got into. he even had his own nemeses.
Totally Spies! has inspired more dirty fanfiction, by the way, than any other show in the genre. :jawdrop:

A show about three girls running around in skintight catsuit that occasionally do martial arts....
You kind of had to see that coming. :)

The strange thing is, the girls are all boy-crazy, yet all the fanfic is yuri. Is it overcompensation, or just the male fantasy that all hot chicks are bi?
(A fantasy that the only hot chicks I ever knew in my life would find, frankly, rather insulting.) :hush:

Original series, but some of the newer stuff has m/f and f/f. To be honest, in the original series there weren't allot of strong female characters to write about. Not saying that explains it just pointing it out.

Original Star Trek Must follow rules
If you had a red shirt and you went down to the planet - you are dead meat
if you are a female alien Captain Kirk will shag you
all planets have unconvincing paper machi boulders as land scapes.

Mind you, if JB, Jr. had been the original's nephew, the correct suffix would have been James Bond the Second. So there may have been some hanky-panky going on.
Fox's first season had a show about a teen spy named Oliver Beene. From what little I remember of it, it was more like Cody Banks than some of the others mentioned so far.
Totally Spies seems like the best template for a player character group; most of the others have one star and his/her supporting characters.

Humm...wasen't there a TV cartoon called James Bond Jr.? Which reminds me, how can he be a Jr. when he is named after his infamous (in some curcles) uncle?

That woulden't happen to be Goldie, Goldfinger's daughter? In fact, she is proably the only real original charater in the series I know of. All the rest are old Bond movie villlians which look difrent so as not to step on copyrights.
And I don't think he has ever faced Blowfield in the series (but then again, who would he want to face an overweight, lazy mastermind who's only indentfiable marks are his bauld head, and his cat).

Because James Bond Junior is a cooler title for a series?
If I recall correctly, the younger Bond also had his uncle's uncanny ability to attract the opposite sex. there was ALWAYS a teenage girl in every episode who became infatuated with "Jimmy".

Just thought of another perfect example of a Teen Spy campaign with some adult PCs as well: The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest!
Instead of being plucky kids, Jonny and Hadji were action heroes in their own right. They were joined by Jessie, "Race" Bannon's illegitmate (if that term means anything anymore) daughter, and by Dr. Benton Quest. their greatest nemesis dwelt in virtual reality, cuasing them a great deal of trouble, and they occasionally ran into benton's old nemesis Dr. Tzin (and his twin daughters, who were kick-ass villainesses oin their own right).
Jonny was a formidable martial artist and bareknuckle fighter. Hadji was a mathematical prodigy and a master of Hindu mysticism. Jessie could also hold her own in a fight, and all three were formidable techies.
I always wondered how Benton felt about Jonny taking after his best friend rather than him. In the series we also learned more about "Race"'s past as a secret agent, which frequently came back to haunt him. We also met jessie's mother on occasion, a fellow spy who could be quite dangerous in a fight.

Link, please?
Just kidding. I couldn't resist that crack.

Not all, but I stumbled into a site where the author was kind enough to put summaries of his/her fanfic. One was about an "experimental relationship" between Tom Paris and Chakotay!

My personal favourite in these teen spy movies is "If Looks Could Kill".
Teenager trying to earn enough credits to graduate takes a trip with the French Club, and is mistaken for a superspy. Hilarity and stupidity ensue, but it is fun.

I've never seen it myself, but wasn't there a TV show or movie called Maserati
and the Brain in which one of the two main characters was a teenager
(or not-quite-a-teenager)?
