I just updated to 1.26 and loaded an existing character. When I went to the Disadvantage tab, the points for each Disad were correct; however, several of the actually options on each Disad had reset to the default values. If you call up the Disad to edit it, the points then reset to reflect these changed options.

I suspect this may have something to do with the Disad options whose names you have changed in your attempts to make them match the WG.

I believe this may have been pointed out by Durnin about 1.25 but I couldn't find the posts dealing with it so I thought I would start a new thread dealing with it.

OK...I finally managed to track that one down.

I'll get another new update posted shortly with the fix.

Whew. I was afraid for a bit that you were going to have to tell us that the only to avoid the problem was to back out your lovely formatting changes. :)

Great service as usual, Dan.

Ugh...this is actually a worse problem than it had at first seemed.

I'm going to have to make a change to the save file format in order to fix this. I will do what I can to make this change "backwards compatible"....I don't think it will affect any current character files except for the disads section. I will see what I can do about fixing things in the disads as well.....I'll post more info when I have it.

Oops. Maybe I spoke too soon. :)

But thanks for keeping us up-to-date.

OK...that just sucked.

But, with a change to the templates and a change to a large number of the classes involved in the display of those "required Adders" that are used so heavily on Disads, I've got it working now.

Old characters will restore fine (though their disads will display with the old formatting) and new characters will (obviously) continue to save/restore fine.

As a side-effect of some of the changes that I made, you'll notice some slightly enhanced behavior in the Disads section in the forthcoming update.....

And once again, Dan comes through by going above and beyond.
