Which organization directly opposes Demon?

Primus doesn't really fit, as I recall, their purpose focuses on the United States paranormal crime.

It seems to me that there would be a "good" mystical organization working at cross purposes to Demon. Are there plans to resurrect something like "The Circle" from Aaron Allston's "The Circle and M.E.T.E"? I realize that these organizations may be owned by Aaron, but I'd like to know if Herogames has any plans in this area.

There is no specific adversary, nor any plans to develop one. Nor would I necessarily consider VIPER and UNTIL as created to directly oppose each other; I'll leave it to each GM to decide how he wants to present 'em. :hex:

In fact, IMG, the general populace (and, in fact, most super-heroes) does not even know of the existence of DEMON... DEMON is generally disregarded as a "fairy-tale" or an "urban legend," such as the Satanic baby-killers of the 80s. That is exactly what makes them so dangerous because if no one knows to stop them, they will succeed in their plans.

IMG, the Boston and Hell's Kitchen events happened underground. Due to this, they could easily be denied by the US government, who is denying the existence of DEMON to prevent all-out panic. This has had the additional effect that the feds' hands are tied, because by doing something about them, they would first have to admit that they exist (kind of like UFO phenomena), something they (for whatever reasons) are reluctant to do. In my long-term campaign plans, once the players realize the group pulling the strings in the background of everything that has occurred so far (they think it's VIPER--but it's actually DEMON...it's a long story), the question is going to be raised: What does the government know, and how long have they known it?

However, Qlippothic energies are still seeping into the material world, since these events *still* occurred IMG, just not quite the way they are described in the book.

Yes, DEMON is *that* dangerous.
