Dan states that STR rounds per increment bought when determining Leaping. Total STR does not matter. I contend that Total STR should be the determining factor for inches of leaping, not Active Points of each section of additional STR. My examples are as follows:

Example 1:
Character with 20 STR buy +8 STR 2xEND, +8 STR 3xEND, +8 STR 4xEND, +8 STR 5xEND, +8 STR 6x END. The total STR of this character is 60, and thus he should be able to Leap 12". The fact that he used far more END than a normal 60 STR character should not be a factor in the fact that they both should be able to leap the same distance.

Example 2:
A character with an 18 STR wears powered armor. The armor grants the character +32 STR for a total of 50. The character should be able to leap as far as any other 50 STR character. The fact that some of the STR is bought as a Focus should not be a factor in how far he can leap.

Now are these examples valid, or is Dan correct and each "section" of additional STR rounds to itself and then adds together so that the example characters above can only leap 11" and 9" respectively?

Dan is correct. Otherwise it becomes way too tricky to handle in too many instances. Of course, if you're willing to handle the trickiness, you can certainly use the method you prefer in your own game. ;)
