[CU] a official alien race for J'onn J'onzz

Hi.

A player of mine is working on a character based on J'onn J'onzz. The problem : I play in the Champions Universe and i don't find something satisfying for the race/civilization he is from. I would like to take a official race within the CU.

I thought about a Varanyi or Gadroon mutant but, at first sight, their civilizations are too different from DC's martians - I will buy "Terran Empire" later this week so i didn't read it yet -

Someone has good ideas for this character ?

1) Have him fall through from an alternate Martian time line. CU allows dimension travel.

2) Human mutant, thinks he's a Martian.

3) Fae Folk from the Land of Legends; all of Jon's powers fit, and the story is easy to adapt.
