According to a recent news artice on the front page of this site, it's gone out of print. Read it here. (http://www.herogames.com/news/2004/0917.jsp)

I expect there are still a few copies floating around out there, but we don't have it anymore. We plan to make it available soon as a PDF, once I have a couple days to update some stuff and write an appendix of related material from the Rules FAQ. ;)

These guys (http://www.usacomicbooks.com/hesyulmaar.html) claim they have it. I've done business with them; they're usually pretty prompt in sending stuff out, but it can take them a few days to ship. I suspect some things, they get from a distributor (there's one nearby) after they're ordered. That might mean the website isn't accurate. But they're usually very quick to reply to emails; sometimes within an hour.

Any chance of the appendix being a free download?

No, because it's already available for free as part of the Rules FAQ. We're certainly not denying anyone access to the information, but writing it up in a slightly more formal fashion as a selling point for the PDF doesn't make any sense if we turn around and give it away free in that same form.

I believe there are many online retailers who still have it for sale. There is still some copies in the distribution system.
I just checked, and both Warehouse 23 (http://www.warehouse23.com) and FRP Games (http://www.frpgames.com) have it listed in stock.
