Greeting HEROdom, please I need your help. I need to locate Ambience Music???
Links are good, but please be specific as I am still unlearned on how to find and download stuff.
Jungle sounds day & night - disturbing and alien to northerners (Think Tarzan, Land of the Lost, etc...) and (Animal roars, screams, etc...)
Tribal war drums - the natives are restless (Again, think Tarzan, Land of the Lost, etc...)
Waterfall - Niagra level with jungle background (A cliffhanger for real)
Aztec/Maya/Toltec "Tribal Chants”
or
African "Tribal Chants”
or
Meso-amerindian "Tribal Chants”
Please and thank you

You probably want to look at mp3.com
Also - http://www.modarchive.com is good
Alhough I'm not that knowledgable about online music - there are quite likely sites that review new bands that are putting their music up.
For some reason, non-rock music is classed as "world music" so that would be a good thing to look for.
Also - computer game creation resources and databases of free sound clips / sound effects. There are a number of CDs available in music stores as well (I have some at home).

Honestly it sounds more like you'd be looking for a CD of tribal chants or random sound effects.
On a different note, one of my personal favorites for streaming is Soma FM (http://www.somafm.com/listen) the Secret Agent channel has some odd funky music that makes good "background noise" for bars or just listening to.

Well, I just went looking online for the rainforest CD I have, and all I can find are a bunch of new-age music CDs with rainforest sounds in the background. Which I really despise. I can handle tranquil relaxing rainforests or ocean surf or what have you as background noise for a game, even if it's not a tranquil scene, but a bunch of hippy flute music totally ruins it.
Anyway, I highly suggest you check out gift stores, music stores, etc for those little stands where you can listen to a CD before buying it, and pick up any with background noise and no music. You may not need it right away, but it will probably come in handy later, and they rarely run more than about eight bucks.

Actually - if you have any computer games, you might want to check out their ambient SFX too...
I've heard some good fanmade mixes / sampling music based on games (such as System Shock and Thief)

Hit your local library - our GM for the RQ game had a whole stack o' CDs burned for gaming featuring both sound effects (animals, jungles, etc) and also mood music - creepy dungeon music, stirring battle music, something is lurking music, session ended for the night music, etc.
All from the library.
cheers, Mark
