If someone wanted to use HeroDesigner for a Retro Champions campaign, and wanted it to only have the 1st. Ed. Powers, Skills, etc. how would you do it?
A custom Template?
What if you wanted to follow the 1st. Ed. rules for character creation?
Could you just make Custom Powers to replace the Powers that have changed significantly?
Has anyone already done this?
Is there any interest in it?

I'd be surprised if it is at all possible. I believe there is quite a bit behind-the-scenes action that matches the 5th Edition rules. At least, that's the impression I get from Dan's posts.

I'm not sure, I think a lot of the internal stuff could be gotten around with Custom Powers and Campaign Rules. But I haven't really started digging into it yet.

It will definitely require a custom template...at the very least. If you're willing to go the Custom Power route, then there's not much you can't do, since Custom Power is completely....well...custom. There are no rules behind it.
If you wanted to re-use any of the existing constructs, however, you may run into difficulties. HD was designed to support 5E.

Understood. :)
On the other hand, even if it is a bit of work, there is currently no 1st Edition character creation software available that I know of, so it would be easier than starting from scratch.
And since there are fewer powers to deal with, it won't be too hard to make the custom ones.
