Is there a way to reduce or limit the result of dice rolled when someone is resisting knockbacks?

I'm not entirely sure what it is you're asking. If the question is, "Is there a way for characters who are determining Knockback to roll fewer dice, or to reduce their rolls somehow," then the answer's no. There are rules for increasing KB (see, e.g., Double Knockback), and a variety of situations that increase or decrease the number of dice rolled to reflect certain situations (see 5ER 418-21), but there's no Advantage or rule that always decreases the KB dice. The mechanice for increasing KB involves artificially increasing the attack's BODY, not rolling fewer dice.
If I'm not interpreting your question properly, please post a follow-up.
