“And when Hell is full, the Dead shall walk the Earth…”

That is what the preachers used to say, but no one believed them. Until it happened. You see it all started with the flu. The Black Flu. First the victims would get what seemed to be bad cold, then recover for a few days then suddenly erupt in black swollen lesions across their bodies then intense fever, shivering and vomiting and eventually death. Millions died across the globe as the vector of the infection was never isolated. Most civilized nations declared martial law but as more and more military and law enforcement personal fell victim to the Black Flu, anarchy reigned. Cities become battlegrounds as looters and plague panic tore civilization apart from within.

Now it’s several months later, well over 2/3 of the human population has died either from the plague or the chaos that followed. And the true nightmare has revealed itself. The plague dead have begun to raise, clawing their way out of their crude mass graves and seeking the living. No one knows why or how these walking dead have come to be or what their purpose is beyond bringing death and infecting the living with their taint, those who fall to the walking dead rise as one unless their bodies are burned. Small pockets of humanity now struggle to survive in world that has become a living Hell.

“And the Dead shall walk” will be a Survival Horror PBEM set in a Post Apocalyptic inhabited by the walking dead, desperate survivors and perhaps other surprises. The player character will be a small band of humans, trying to escape the seemingly endless hordes of the undead, their “fellow” humans and find some sanctuary, some measure of safety. The campaign will begin in April 2000, in with Player Characters already assembled outside of New York City. Almost any character concept is welcome that would fit into a modern era game. The game system will be Hero System Fifth Edition, but knowledge of the game system is not a requirement. Characters will be created on 100 Base Points+50 points of disadvantages. This game will include scenes of graphic violence, adult language, themes and possibly sexuality so all players must be 18+. What I am looking for are strong role players, willing to portray “real” people in a desperate situation. Please include a brief writing sample describing a bit of your character background in the months of the plague and the awakening of dead. I will choose from the best of these samples for the core group.

Nice!
Reminds me of the game system "The End". If I weren't currently in an Amber game...

Ah well - good luck to you!

All Flesh Must Be Eaten!

Um...shouldn't this go in the Player Finder section?

Oops. Already there. Disregard.

It would likely help if I told people were to send characters.

Send to nexus@qx.net

Seriously though, not a bad idea.

Unfortunately, I filled in all the slots tonight. If you'd like to lurk and wait for slot to open up (I'm pretty sure someone will drop or get killed) that would be cool.
