How do you create new skins?
Where or what could I read on creating new skins?

I'm not working on skins because I think we discovered they took up resources (probably wrong, but I seem to remember it coming up), but I think under help-->about there is a link on the splash screen that will take you to the website of the skinning software Dan used. Sorry, I don't have HD on this computer to check.

Errr...not sure where the resource bit comes from...to my knowledge the "skin" package that is being used is pretty lean on the resources....expecially in comparison with the SAX parser that is parsing the templates...

The skin package that I'm using in HD is "Skin Look and Feel" by L2FProd. I chose this package because it makes it very easy for you to create your own skins.

In essence, it's based off of the KDE and GTK theme packs from Linux. You will have a zip file which contains all the graphics for your skin and then several documents which tell the system how to use them.
