I havent picked up either Grimoire yet. (They are soon on the list.) Are the spells in them compatible with a Champions-genre supermage? I'm at the point in my world design where I'm putting together the "Dr. Strange" of it.
Thanks
Richard

Sure. Just strip out the Limitations you won't be using. "Requires A Skill Roll" and "Spell" are two I'd drop.

They're compatible, but they're not in the "Dr. Strange" flavor. They're more targeted to specific fantasy types of magic (elemental magic, war magic, potions, etc.).
Also, the active points tend to be quite high.
You might be better off looking toward The Ultimate Mystic or The Mystic World, which have a few examples targeted toward supermages.

If you can find a copy the 4th edition book Mystic Masters is great, with no disrespect towards the Ultimate Mystic, Ultimate Super Mage, it's predesesor seems infininatly more useful...

DEMON is a great supplement for this too. They went to a lot of effort to create detailed Magical Styles.
Cheers
